Considerably less rain alright, especially here in our restaurant. This is a photo of our tabletop.

Yup, different. Less rain for one thing. I have some friends in Boulder City and 'Vegas and a daughter in North 'Vegas. Late Nov. when I was last there, weather was nice. Hope it cooperates for you! Not bad from what I see...

A Panasonic Lumix ZX60. For my purposes it’s the perfect cycling camera. It’s two generations back (superseded now by the ZS70 and ZS80), but still the best deal if you can find one.

What a wonderful mural project. We'll do our best to keep up with the progress on it while we're here. Glad you are back in the saddle.

What kind of camera do you use - I mean the one that was back at your base camp? I really need to move beyond my cell phone camera.

Seven Falls (Bear Creek) is an amazing hike, alright. If you took it last year though, you may not know that water in the stream can make some challenging crossings. The trail crosses it six or seven times, as I recall. But then, when there’s water in the creek there’s more in the falls too.

I haven't done this hike, looks wonderful. We walked the Seven Falls Trail that runs roughly parallel to it last year. I remember the return trip being a mile or so longer than I wanted on that one too, but the amazing views keep ya going.

It was great alright. Thanks again for reaching out. I feel pretty confident we’ll cross paths again - maybe when we’re on our road trip through southern Alberta and BC this summer.

It’s too bad you wasted your efforts on recognizing a mockingbird, because you’re not likely to see them back home. It’s within their range apparently, but I don’t remember ever seeing one much north of the California border. You’ll have much more luck with ospreys.

We’re on our way back to Portland, where we’re booked for a month - but we’re dragging our feet getting there. We’ll spend the next twelve days in Nevada and California before really heading north.

There’s a reason my flat-fix tools and pump stay on my bike. I’ve done that too many times and one day my luck will run out. So yes, I have multiple pumps and tool sets.

Great to hear the new meds halted the 4 day run of arrhythmic episodes! Safe travels north.
