To help lighten your task load I haven't done a tour since my abbreviated jaunt on the Katy Trail, and don't currently have any specifically planned. I do have some on the drawing board but not scheduled for implementation.
1 week agoThat's quite the load of barges. Is it a storage yard of some sort, do you suppose? Might be too late for you to recall now of course, 10 months after the fact, but I somehow got out of the habit of reading CycleBlaze for many months so now I'm in catch-up mode.
1 week agoThat's quite an outcrop.
1 week agoI picked up my rejuvenated bike yesterday and asked about Jim. He wasn’t in the shop at the moment but he’s still there - he’s the general manager.
4 months agoGotta get healthy before we can stay healthy, but we’re working on it.
The desert sounds great though. It is so cold here! The high today is 48, which is the warmest it will be until we head south. Lows will drop below freezing for the next 4-5 days.
Thanks for taking us along on another entertaining TA adventure. Glad to hear that Portland is more welcoming this time around. Happy Holidays and stay healthy - the desert awaits!
5 months agoThanks so much, Robyn. You remind me that we really do need to make it down under again one of these times. This could be the year.
5 months agoI can only agree with what's been said above. Exemplary journal-writing, superb photography and videoing, Team Anderson. Looking forward to the next chapter.
5 months agoYes, that's the UK as we remember cycling it. 20% grades are sort of average!

5 months agoNot in “ morse code”, either 🙄
5 months agoAnd thank you, Karen. Rachael and I both really enjoyed your involvement on this tour. Coincidentally, I thought of you this morning on the way to coffee. It’s that time of day and the trees are full of crows greeting the dawn and preparing to take flight.
5 months agoYew is one of the few evergreens I can identify. We had a yew hedge in front of our house where I grew up.
5 months agoIt really does seem better, Rich. We’ve been here and out and about for a couple of days now and I’d say it’s significantly improved. Now if we can just make it through these next four years.

Welcome back! No, I don't know about this shot, and didn't see it. The photos in this section are Rachael's, who walked farther along the canal than I did.
