Maybe Swinhoe's Giant Snail (Nesiohelix swinhoei)
https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/324460-Nesiohelix-swinhoei
Yes -- I'm pleased to have it. I've agreed to pay NT$7,000, which is about 220 bucks. On eBay UK they are triple that second-hand. I will sell my Mark 3 and will likely get over double what it cost me new. Strange.
1 month agoQ came through with a good piece of technology there. Sometimes my 10-second timer doesn't give me enough time to do what I want to do.
1 month agoThanks, Bill -- I did think about turning it over. It must have got hit be a vehicle, but there was no clear sign of that.
1 month agoHard to get a good photo match with only a belly shot, but maybe a Taiwan japalure?
Definitely not a skink, gecko, anole, water dragon, glass lizard, iguana or chameleon.

Thanks, Greg... we'll see how long I can keep it up.
1 month agoIf it's in Taiwan, you should be able to find it. I like it.
1 month agoCheers, Greg... I recall that nice broom a couple of years ago. I'll keep my eye open for some nice ones.
1 month agoI like your James Bond theme. Have a martini, shaken not stirred, for me. And if Q comes up with any cool gadgets, make sure you tell us about them.
1 month agoI wonder if Tribute is available in the U.S.
1 month agoI've commented on some of your broom photos in the past, but these brooms look a little more modern. That's okay, keep up the brooming.
1 month agoThanks, Suzanne... the articles have got dramatically shorter. They used to be over 800 words , but it's now just 200.
1 month agoNice!
1 month agoEngland neither -- I may need a rethink once there.

It was a biggie.
1 month agoI looked for that lizard that I saw the other day, but didn't spot it. I was going to flip it over and take a snap.
