You might see if the Holiday Inn Express at Heathrow would store your suitcases. They are located a short walk from the terminal, so no shuttle is required. Maya stayed there last fall and said it was very nice and quiet and not too expensive. Apparently the breakfast is good too.

Well, that's a coincidence. It seems like something could work out there. Either we could catch you in Trento at the start or we could just as easily do the same route counterclockwise and intersect somewhere. We expect to fly to Venice on September 9, but it's hard to say how long it would take us to get to Trento by way of Feltre. Let's keep in touch and check back later.

Sounds like a plan. Sorry it cannot include painless knees and wrists.

Sounds an excellent idea Although being able to walk easily is a distinct advantage it is amazing what you can do with somewhat limited mobility

You two are unstoppable! FWIW, our fall tour (2nd and 3rd weeks of September) is currently set to start and end in Trento. We’ll be doing a clockwise loop - Trento-Bolzano-Brunico-Cortina-Belluno-Feltre-Trento. Maybe we’ll cross paths…

If you've not looked, there is some great Oscar Peterson content on YouTube, especially interviews where he talks about musical styles and plays a bit of the same piece in the style of different pianists.

Just the strap from the handlebar bag.

You are a quick one! What is that on your top tube, near the handlebars?

A steer stopper? I think you'd need that more in Colorado than southern France. I don't remember seeing many steer roaming around over there.

Does your bike have a steer stopper? Isn't that a handy do dad? I never know I needed one, until I bought a used bike that came with one installed. When Jacinto sent his bike back to Rodriguez last summer for the frame repair, he had them install a steer stopper on his bike.

Good for you guys! there's no stopping you! Sometimes you have to zig when life says you could just zag.

We will let you know when exactly we will be there once we know ourselves. Our bikes will be put in long term storage in Valencia pending our return in February 2026 when we plan to circle in the warmer south, Coastal Spain near Valencia and Mallorca and the Mediterranean coast of France, before heading north again in later April.

Valencia in late October! Yes, a meetup seems quite likely. I'm pretty sure the weather will have turned in the north by then.

Yippee, a plan! We are just firming up our plans for the fall which end in Valencia in late October. Any hope of our paths crossing?

When you run out of birds to count, you could start documenting wildflowers. They don't fly away, you can get up close, and you can join the obscure botany discussions when varieties/species/genera get re-sorted and renamed and mis-identified. It's actually a similar thrill when you stumble onto some rare plant and then coyly conceal the location from the general riff-raff.
