Mute swans. Pretty, but an unwelcome invasive species.
4 years agoFollowing your journey through my state hope you enjoy the ride . Tomorrow will be a beautiful ride if you take m-22 along the coast . In fact M-22 is an awesome ride if you take it all the way around the Leelanau Peninsula and join up with the Leelanau trail in Suttons Bay and on to Traverse City . Hope you have time to ride the Old Mission Peninsula if you get to Traverse City , it is fun ride if you stay along the shoreline . I have done many week long tours in this area it is a great ride . Safe travels and of course tailwinds for the whole trip .
4 years agoWhile touring in the Mojave & Sonoran Deserts a few years ago, I saw a lot of Yuma border patrol vehicles as far north as Maricopa County. I had no idea their jurisdiction extended all the way to Michigan.
4 years agoTraveling is fun when you stay with friends that have a 3 story Victorian house and a soccer field in the back yard.
I hope the trip goes well. Apparently the rain ended just in time.
Nice house!
4 years agoGlad to see that you are taking a tour this year, can't wait to follow along with the adventure! Best of luck,

Looking good you guys! I had to laugh about your experience in finding a potty. You need to watch out for deer ticks (Lyme disease), mosquitoes and poison ivy when making a bush stop on your trip. Have fun!

Robert,
4 years agoI just checked our routing. We are on 22 all the way around. I read about Old Mission Peninsula after we had done our reservations. I'm sad I was a little late there. We do have the Leelanau Trail in there, so I got that part right!
Thanks for the good wishes.
Kelly
