Maybe there are 2 Italys. We actually have not got wet on the bike yet although today looks fairly grim. It’s raining so might be a train day. Up to Plan E I think to dodge the worst of it.
11 months agoThanks. That’s a good idea

11 months agoHi Dennis,
This might be a stupid comment and something that you’ve already done, but try a shop that sells/specializes in mountain bikes, 650b / 27.5 is much more common for mtb’s, even in Europe, than for road bikes.
Hope you’re safe. Flooding in northern Italy seems to be occurring not far from you. Maybe there are 2 Italys like on the Victoria ride.
11 months agoYes. That was a typo. 650 is not uncommon in Australia but seemingly not here.
11 months agoYour wheels are most likely 650B not 850 and are a "new" old size reintroduced by the marketing people to replace the old 26" size.
650B is between 26" and 700C. It would seem that this wheel size has not become popular in the area where you are now. Did they mention the wheel size when they sold you the bike?
No luck I’m afraid. I’ve got 850 diameter wheels which no one seems to stock. I’ve got 5 days riding left so I’m being gentle. Worst case I jump on a train
11 months agoIn Canada we have ‘Bluebird’ days. We also have bluebirds. 😉So who knows where the expression comes from. Bummer about your wheel I hope you have luck in Lucca getting a new one.
11 months agoI caught that! :-)
11 months agoIt’s a big ask Must be hard when it’s wet
