Day 24 Fredericksburg, TX to Austin, TX

We had a thunderstorm last night, but today was sunny, warm and not windy! We are still in "Hill Country", but it is our last day of over 80 miles and over 4,000ft of elevation!  We got our new jerseys last night.

The jerseys say "Cross Country Tour, Southern Tier, 2885 miles" on the back

Susan from Austin joined us today.  She has ridden with Cycle of Life Adventures before and wanted to get in a fun ride.  Some of these pictures are hers!

The rolling (or yoyo) hills were fun but also quite tiring.

We have seen small vultures with grey under their black wings, cardinals and many mourning doves.   Besides green pastures, we also typically rode past rocky terrain with prickly pear growing beneath live oaks.

We are staying on the south side of Austin and we got to have dinner with Tom Tinguely, Heather's uncle and our grandsons' dad! Tom owns The Great Outdoors garden/nursery center.  We got to visit it....really impressive!
