Our last day...we woke up excited and even a little teary.  For six weeks, we have ridden a bike every day but 5, and most of those days, we on the road for 7 hours.  It will be quite an adjustment to come back to regular life!

Team huddle before our last day on the road together

The weather today was gorgeous; some clouds in the a.m. but cloudless by 10.

Florida has nice bike trails!

Part of our route went along the St. Johns River which in this area looks more like two large lakes.  It enters the ocean in Jacksonville where it narrows to normal river size.

We rode to St. Augustine Beach (community east of St. Augustine proper).  Seymour's pickleball buddies were standing on the corner of the public beach parking lot with signs and balloons!  The police noticed and blocked traffic so we could easily turn left into the parking lot!  Felt very special!

Ken GassTo Jacquie LowellAnd a hug right back to you, Jacq! Thanks for giving us the good send off in San Diego! We are already plotting our next epic journey with Cycle of Life, following the Mississippi from its MN source to New Orleans, about 2,000 miles.😊

We had a celebratory dinner and said some goodbyes...the rest will be tomorrow morning.  It is very hard parting with people we have enjoyed so much.

On to the next journey...whatever that may be.

Today's ride: 44 miles (71 km)
Total: 44 miles (71 km)
