Day 13 McKittrick, MO

After a couple of really hot days, today was great.  It only got up to the low 80's, we had some cloud cover, but no rain and miles of shady trail to enjoy.  Our 62 miles today seemed much easier than the 27 we rode yesterday.

All of today's route was on the Katy Trail.  The hardpack trail surface was in very good condition.  It was very dusty, but that's much better than soft from rain.

We're still in farms of corn and beans. This guy was moving fast on his sprayer.

We stopped for lunch at Cori's Twin Gables in Marthasville.  If anyone is reading this blog to get ideas for traveling the Katy Trail, we enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.  The food and service were excellent and the prices very reasonable.  We had a good time and a good lunch.
