Two Far again

New trip, new journal site, new bike (we hope!)

We're getting ready for our third Two Far summer adventure.  This year, we'll have Team A from Two Far 2016 with us again.  We're looking forward to sharing another trip with them.  Our plan is to make a circle from central Ohio as far west as the Katy Trail in Missouri, then north and east to the Erie Canalway Trail in New York before returning to Ohio.  So, we're "Trailing through the Rust Belt" this summer.

We plan to have a new ride for this trip.  Kerry switched to a recumbent single bike last fall.  He immediately fell completely in love with it and set out to acquire a recumbent tandem for us.  We decided on a Rans Seavo and have been working with the people at Rans to get our perfect bike built.  They're still working on it and we still waiting, but we have high hopes of having it next month.

I decided to use a new hosting site for this year's journal and learned about this one at a recent tandem rally.  It looks great and I think we will enjoy posting here.  This is really a test post so I can learn how it works.

Every trip has a few obstacles to overcome
