Day 4 Steinhatchee

After yesterday's soggy ride, we didn't have the heart to start out today with a forecast of 100% probability of thunderstorms.  With three phone calls, we were able to rearrange our schedule to stay here today and ride on the rest day we had planned for Friday.  It was a good call.  Rain and thunder started about noon. We enjoyed a nice restful day, warm and dry, relaxing in our comfortable suite. We've been teaching Ken and Francie to play Euchre and had a good time playing cards this afternoon, even though the guys were able to squeak out a narrow victory :).

Here is the post-storm sunset from our balcony. JS

Ken and I love breakfast so we rode about a mile to The Bridge End Cafe and had the best eggs, corned beef hash and biscuits (and grits) meal ever!

Pelicans have won us over.  We got to get up close from the dock across the street from our condo, just before the downpour. FG

A squadron of pelicans.
