Provence is a very exciting part of the tour, and was the silver medal winner among our fifteen segments.  Have another look at why in this earlier page of this blog.  (Use the back arrow to then return to this page).

Our actual special route in Provence leaves Avignon and heads east into the Luberon region. We want to see the "Peter Mayle" villages like Menerbes and Lacoste, like tons of other tourists! Since making this map we have refined the idea a bit. Now we plan to go to Cavaillon (G) and run first once sortie toward Isle sur le Sorgue (B) and Roussillon (D), and then another toward Bonnieux (E).  Each time we will return to Cavaillon, and then finally go to Arles.
