El Cubo de Tierra del Vino
We decided to have a semi-rest day today and instead of riding to Zamora. logically the next destination for cyclists on the Via de la Plata, we decided to cut it short and spend the night in El Cubo de Tierra del Vino, about halfway to Zamora. This meant we could have a lazy start to the day and we only left Salamanca at about eleven thirty. Our route was almost entirely on the N-630 through fields of rape and, surprisingly, what looked like rice. We timed our arrival at the albergue in El Cubo de Tierra del Vino well because the rain that had been forecast started falling soon after we checked in.
