Day 10: Golden to Radium Hotsprings BC

Our longest day on this ride. We decide to go past Radium Hotsprings to find a more affordable campground experience at Dry Gulch State Park. Canadian resort town with their RV-resorts are very expensive and even though we can afford it these days it is hard for this Dutchman to break with our low-budget traveling ways.

Leaving Golden. We've heard these guys rattle through town all night.

We see one bear on this trip, not much later a black bear scurries across the road ahead of us.

Beautiful headwaters of the Columbia River.

A short detour off the main road due to road construction takes us past his ornate gate.
