Confession time...

We went to Dracula's castle at Bran yesterday. I read Bram Stoker's novel after reading a delightful account by Carston Hoefer, who rode across Romania to find all the places mentioned.

The history of the castle, posted inside and out, makes a lot of the Romanian royal family but says not a word about Dracula. In the trinket area outside it is, of course, different.

Anyway, we went and we were glad we did, even though there's not much to see. If nothing else, it will stop people saying 'What? You went all the way to Transylvania without visiting Dracula?'!
