Exploring Maastricht, Holland

What a cold night in the tent!! It rained hard and the temperatures really dropped. We wore everything we had. Barry kindly gave me his down jacket in the middle of the night - thank you Barry!

A couple we met from Holland who were staying in their trailer, came over in the morning to see how we had fared (they were cold in their trailer too) and offered to make us coffee.

We opted not to take our bike in to Maastricht today as the little local bus goes right by our campground and goes every hour. It was fun to explore this city. Maastricht has long been on our list of places to visit. Sunday is such a busy day - many shops are closed, but families and friends are out in large numbers to wander the city.

Reitz Fritturs is the most popular french fry eatery in Maastricht. The line up was long, but it was well worth the wait

Kind of crazy that there is a MacDonalds right next door to the best fritturs (french fries) in Maastricht
