Winds really make a difference!

Lordsburg to Deming

The first 20 miles today we had SW winds and we were heading southeast. It was tough but Chris and Stephen and Emma took turns leading. Right at 20 miles, the road turned Northwesf and we flew the last 40 miles.  Chris spotted a coyote at one point. We all stopped to admire him. Then Em saw a second one! We stopped at 40 miles at an Exxon/Dairy Queen for lunch. Inside out of the wind was good. Chris noticed his back tire was low so he put air in it. After 2 miles he patched the tube.

In town we picked up some drugs. Nyquil, vapor rub, throat lozenges. Chris felt a scratchy throat today. I'm hacking up a gut and had to slow things down today so I could get my breath. Step brought me soup. I'm all in.

Lunch stop! Couldn't get it running!

Steve Miller/GrampiesDo not let the coughing carry on too long. Monitor the colour of what you cough up, when/if it turns brown or green get to a doctor for antibiotics right away. Steve and I have gone thru this several times and left too long it can really flatten you. Good luck. Dodie
