Williamsburg to Varina

We had so much fun with Camilla and Debra. They decided to come ride a few miles with us. Debra is getting back into the saddle after some health issues and it was great to have a little more time to visit.

We were on the Virginia Capitol Trail all day today. It will take us all the way into Richmond.

It's part of the route 76 network.

Crossing the Chickahominy River.

Camilla used to race and when these two have crossed the country on a tandem twice - the northern tier and the transamerican. We had fun swampping stories.

Away they go back to theri house as we continue on to Charles City

We found Cul's Courthouse Grill. Right after we got there and ordered, a whole busload of tourists came and filled up the outside patio.

They are doing some remodeling inside so no one is allowed to eat in today.

Great day on the path. Yesterday it was pretty cool. Today it is up in the 80s.

Michele and Susan are out cycling a couple of days and we chatted for a while.

We are at Daniel and Charlye's warmshowers right on the path. They are working but we are out of the sun, showered and relaxing.

Today's ride: 38 miles (61 km)
