Test ride

Store and back

I was able to walk without the walker through the night. Allison rode in from the east and she and Emma visited.

We decided to ride down the lane with Allison to be sure she was safely past the pit bulls.

We had dogs along the lane, but they just barked.

Allison rode on. She hopes to get to College Station today. Ah, the young!

On the way back, Allison called to say her tube was flat and the replacement tubes were shrader valves instead of presta valves. Oh No!

I told her to call Susan and Brent picked her up in the truck. She has a tube and a repair kit now and she is safe and sound with Susan and Brent. Wonderful warmshowers hosts.

So we plan to head for Kountze in the morning. I will have to do 48 miles fully loaded but it's minimal climbing and looks like we may have the wind at our backs!

Today's ride: 10 miles (16 km)
Total: 3,567 miles (5,741 km)
