One more Range to Climb

Sierra Blanca to Van Horn

This little Mama wandered into the parking lot this morning. She didn't seem wild but she was cautious. Very cute tail wagger.

Very nice stay at the Historic Lodge in Sierra Blanca. We are told Elvis slept in Room 2 and John Wayne slept in room 6. General Patton took the whole place over at one time for some strategic planning or training or something.

We had a nice breakfast at Delfino's on our way out of town. All three of us are sniffling and sneezing but it could just be West Texas!

The first twenty miles we had the frontage road all to ourselves.

The big lawn mowing movers were out and some of the spiny, throny stuff was thrown back on the road. I ran something over and had a flat in the front which we fixed in no time.

We had a very gradual climb up through our last mountain range! Just this last one, really.

Here we cross over the interstate and get on it to do the last climb through the pass.

Riding into Central Time Zone! Suddenly, it's an our later! Two hours later than Pacific Time!

Plenty of space for the bikss. We are going to take a day off here in Van Horn.
