Into the Woods

Awendaw to Georgetown

What a pretty ride today. We were in the Pine forests all day. We rode 17 maybe 15 miles out of the 59. The rest we were on these beautiful back roads.

It was so pretty we both kept wanting to snap pictures.

I think they must have been having some controlled burns in some of the forest.

The Azalesa are blooming everywhere. The Dogwoods are all in bloom and the cherry blossoms are coming out too.

We are very close to the intercoastal waterway and the ocean and we crossed over a few rivers today.

I just love the lowlands.

We rode by lots of plantations that you couldn't see from the road.

Stephen got a better shot of the house.

Almost home for the night! Stopped at Piggly Wiggly in town for food. They were cooking up all manner of yummies at the deli. It was tough to decide so we got some of a bunch of sides. Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, peas, baked beans, green beans, you name it they had it.

Quality Inn, I'm getting lots of Choice Points!

Nice courtyard. Time for dinner! Goodnight!
