Doesn't get any better than this

El Paso to Fort Hancock

Had our last wonderful breakfast at the Holday Inn Express this morning. We decided we would start pedaling and see how we feel. Stephen seems to be coming down with the cold.

Stopped for a break and realized we were being watched

In Fabens we found a great lunch spot. Deliveries arrived while we sat and all stopped to carry in the loot.

Somehow we ended up riding to Fort Hancock. Tail winds, sunny skies, 300 ft of elevation over 56 miles. It was heaven.

As soon as we got to our motel, I checked my back tire and tube as it was soft this morning. It had a slow leak under the patch the fellows put on in the tail wind last week. The patch job was holding perfect so Step patched and I went over the tire to make sure there was nothing sharp in there. All I found was little roadside debris from having to patch on a road shoulder with high wind!

There's food across the street and the beds feel comfy!

Today's ride: 56 miles (90 km)
Total: 2,595 miles (4,176 km)
