43 degrees and Headwinds

LaGrange to Carmine

It was pretty cool out this morning but it really made a difference that we were riding into the wind all day. We layered up and headed out.

I didn't stop to take pictures except I couldn't resist this one. There were huge statues of animals all along the route today. Roosters, horses, cattle, lions, you name it. Lots of antique warehouses along the way.

East Texas is really pretty.

Stopped at the store in Carmine. They have delicious kolaches which are czech pastires filled with either meat or fruit.

Lots of yard ornamental decorations around.

We rode over some dirt roads to get to warmshower Carol's house. We stayed here before. Can't wait to see her.

Em is looking out from the bunkhouse. Carol grabbed Stephen and I to ride into Burton with her and grab her pool table.

We have a fire going in our fireplace and we are cozy. We are staying here tomorrow as it is supposed to be a high in the 40s again and rain!
