Day 45: Syracuse to Utica

A shorter ride scheduled for today, maybe because the next three days promise horizontal miles and/or vertical feet.

Fresh temperatures to start, rising to 30C by lunchtime.

The usual pretty house, gardens, trees and farms, but soo verdant in the bright sunlight. We rode next to the Erie canal again, which would have screamed Tea Shoppe in the UK, but no gingham tablecloths in sight. Nice flat ride with Doug, David and Simon got us to the SAG, though they were all taking it easy in view of those next three days.

A couple of gentle rises over the next 25 miles and we were in Utica in time for a Subway.

Not all the houses are grand, but people take pride
