Day 3 - to the home of UVA

Long riding day to get to Charlottesville and a hot shower at the English Inn. Rode through some beautiful Virgina countryside. Had my first encounter with some dogs. Large property on my right that a small dog came running out from. Picked up the pace to outrun him and 50 feet later another dog from the same property came tearing out at me. Looked to be a Pit Bull mix but luckily I out ran him as well. Rode through a 10 minute downpour and then the sun came out and dried up everything

I camped behind Belsches Kwik Stop last night and had dinner and breakfast inside

When you see a road sign with hill in it, you know you are in for a climb

This was not pie or cobbler but it was very good. Mango purée, whipped cream, and berries

Steve ClarkWow.
Tough day. Lots of hills. Vicious dog and a half. Rain. And 76 miles. Hoping for a simple Saturday and some peach cobbler.

Looks like it’s gonna get hillier. Take your time going up and down. This ain’t no race.
