We've arrived...: Victoria and our date with destiny
Woke up this morning to a bit of an epiphany. I've always said the true beauty of retirement would reveal tself on a Tuesday morning. And it did.
Merritt BC, 7:30 am at the Ramada Express 'continental breakfast'. Two other couples there. Everyone relaxed and happy. Everyone either heading off to or coming back from somewhere interesting. Everyone retired!
Had a quick run into Vancouver (with a detour into Port Coquitlum to try to 'buy' an exped multimat .... the bricks and mortar store had them in their warehouse but would not get one, or even ship one to me. I 'had' to use their online ordering system. I declined) Another epiphany, I truely have become a curmudgeon.
Picked up our daughter and headed for the ferry. Made it into Victoria and hooked up with Bill, Deb, Rick, their daughter Freya and her partner Kathryn and had a great dinner. Last minute fussing about and then to bed.
The real adventure begins.
