Merritt to Kamloops BC. The Nicola Valley. High ranch country with jewel like lakes. Perfect weather, beautiful scenery, great roads, slight tailwind. Cycle touring at its best.

Newfoundland - Black Horse - the bar at Pelly's Narwhale Inn, Springdale. A good beer in a great bar with some of the funniest and firendliest people you could imagine!

Alberta - Twisted Trail, Valemont Brewing - at Bow Summit, the highest point of the trip, and the start of a long spectacular downhill ride to home. Kirsten had this stashed in he Pannier all day, and it was still cold!

Wisconsin - Inland Sea Pilsner, Deepwater Grill Brew Pub, Ashland. A great beer and a great meal in this cool little city on the shore of Lake Superior. Oh, and the place also has a big fish statue!

Ontario - Beau's Lug Tread Lager - The County Cider Company, Prince Edward County. A fantastic beer in an amazing setting .... sitting under a grape vine trellis, eating wood fired oven pizza and looking out onto the blue waters of the Bay of Quinte, accompanied by two lovely ladies!

Nova Scotia - Steam Whistle Pilsner at The Dock, New Glasgow. A refreshing brew that went great with the fish & chips .... felt like we were back in 'old" Glasgow

BC - Up Swift Creek, Valmont Brewing Company - campground at Tete Jeune Cache. Great company, great day of biking, great town at Valmont and a beautiful setting beside the Fraser river looking onto three mountain ranges

Minnesota - Lighthouse Golden Ale - Fitgers Brew Pub, Duluth. great beer made on the premises, fantastic meal (real food after days of gas station fare) and live jazz guitar! What's not to like?

Michigan - Sam Adams - hotel in Newbury, a good clean beer after wishing we could have had one the night before, looking at this at Munising Beach!

New Brunswick - Coors Light - Black Point Campground. Long hot day, set up camp at a beautiful spot beside the bay, sweaty and thirsty. The RV'rs in the camp next to us offered us a cold beer --- first time ever --- who's to refuse --- it was great

PEI - Beach Lager - lobby of the Great George Hotel. A really good beer in a beautiful peaceful setting in this elegant but relaxed hotel, after a wonderful relaxed day in Charlottetown. Oh, and it was 'on the house' !!

Manitoba - many Silver Creek Lagers - Paul & Leslie's house in Winnipeg. A great rest stop and well needed R&R. Swapped great stories of hockey and music over several Silver Creeks, one of my favourite beers! Great company, great time!
