Today was another beautiful sunny day in Calgary, one week before we start our ride. We met up with our friend Bill Sawyers for a 50 km tour through the Calgary river valleys. Bill is going to join us in Victoria and ride with us until Canmore / Calgary, it will be great to have him along. We've done many back country ski trips with Bill but this will be the first time we've bike toured with him.

This was a bit of a shakedown ride for the new Silk Roads as well. Very solid bikes, and the fit seems to be just right. The real test comes when we get them loaded, but they feel like they will pass that test too.

Transport details to Victoria have been worked out, hotel being booked for 2 June, D-Day is approaching!
