More paddeling around: Days 48 and 49 - Sea kayaking in Georgian Bay / Killarney provincial park

Spent Monday and Tuesday completing our tour around Philip Edward Island in Killarney provincial park. What a beautiful place. It helps that we had great weather. Each morning was calm and then the winds would build in the afternoon from the west. Not a problem on Sunday and Monday as we were paddeling east, but it made it a bit of a work out this afternoon as we were coming back.

This is incredible terrain here with each day being quite different. Sunday gave us low smooth rock islands that were quite barren. Monday morning we had flat barren rock 'pancake islands' giving way to more steep sided tree covered islands and then today we had a long channel with steep wooded banks. All very beautiful. I didn't get pictures of all of it as I had my camera stowed in a dry bag in the hatch. If you want to see what it's like you'll have to come down and see it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Brent, can't thank you enough for organizing this for us, and for using your place as a staging point for our bike swap.

This has been a great three days off the bike. We're still having a great adventure but are giving our legs a rest.

Packed up the Prairie slayer tonight and will get that shipped back to Clagary. Unpacked the Silk Roads, mounted the front racks and put the front fenders back on, swapped the pedals and the seats and we're ready to go again tomorrow. Brent is going to drop us off in Espanola where we stopped on Saturday, and we'll head south to Manitoulin island.

We'll be spending the next few weeks zig zagging around Ontario as we visit a buch of folks (Kirsten's step mom Millie, my brother Blaine, and our friends Clair and Anne Marie and Rick).

Monday morning on West Fox Island. It doesn't get much better than this

Some incredible rock sculpture. This small pool looked like a scale model of Lake Huron to me

The organic sculpting of the rock and the evaporative rings are just gorgeous
