Added 4/23/2009: Did very little on this day off. Ate lots of snacks, drank gallons of chocolate milk, periodically emerged from my motel room to procure more snacks and chocolate milk. Tried to catch up on this journal, which, frankly, had become a burden. Considered abandoning it, but first decided to determine if anyone was actually reading it.

Called fellow bike tourist Joy Santee (the loaner of the tent I hadn't been using that much on the tour), to see if she was interested in meeting up when I rode near her home in Indiana. She was agreeable, so that was something to look forward to.
