Edinburgh - The seventh step ... London to Edinburgh via Land's End and John o'Groats - CycleBlaze

August 27, 2019

Edinburgh

Our campsite was right on National Cycle Route 76 which soon left the main road and followed paths along the coast up until the bridge over the Firth of Forth.  In fact, a great deal of today's ride was away from public roads and those roads we did ride were nice and quiet.

Once we reached the outskirts of Edinburgh we headed for the Edinburgh Caravan and Motorhome Club Site just east of the Almond River.  Being so close to Edinburgh bicycle theft is a major issue here so they provide bicycle sheds in which to secure your bicycle.  The previous night we locked them in the toilets because we weren't comfortable leaving outside.

We will spend the next two nights in Edinburgh before heading out to Rod and Shiona.

Today's ride: 46 km (29 miles)
Total: 3,063 km (1,902 miles)
