We are jumping on the current window of opportunity to go to Italy for a few weeks. Many things have to line up to make a trip happen. We are vaccinated (thanks to science and clinical trial participants), we can get time away, we got a flight, and Italy will let us enter without quarantine time. Bromptons are always at the ready.

The rough plan is to ride from Milan in a circle taking in Lombardy and the south end of the lakes. There are trains when it gets too hot. Early morning rides are always the best so we may do day rides rather than point-to-point. And we will do them in kilometers which always sounds so much longer. Our goal is to have a break, not win a race, so some days may be very short while we idle in piazzas.
