A whole 5kg over 11 days! That's 35,000 calories gone up in CO2.
This is maybe a touch alarming, but bear in mind that despite the great food I ate really sparingly during this tour as well. For some reason I didn't feel very hungry at breakfast and lunch times, and often would just have a cup of coffee and some biscuits for the former and maybe bread role and apple for the latter. Water was what obsessed me, really.
