Day 5: The Christmas Day "Orphan ride"

Merry Christmas! The day started with Ralph's famous "Orphan Ride." He originated the ride years ago for local friends who don't have family close by, but since then it has grown and all are invited. We start in San Diego, at Ralph's house, and ride around the bay and up "The Strand" to Coronado. From there we return on the ferry; but after coffee of course!

My cargo today consisted of cookies to share with the group over coffee, and a singing reindeer with Christmas lights on his little antlers. He provided the musical entertainment as our group rode along.

The day could not have been nicer. The sun was out, the temperatures warm, and everyone around seemed filled with the Christmas spirit. There is not much to say beyond that, I'll let the pictures do the talking...

It was a beautiful day in San Diego
