The stuff, Part 2: Detailed packing list

More info for the touring geek

I recommend skipping this section if you're not into minutiae! It's important to me to have it here for reference, but I can't imagine it makes good reading.

Silk sleeping bag liner
Big Agnes Insulated Air Core sleeping pad (mummy style)
Primus stove and fuel canister
Titanium Cook kit
Plastic fork and spoon
Plastic travel mug

One night's emergency dinner - note: I picked up something called Ready Beans at the farmer's market. They're dehydrated refried beans made by a local company. Check out: readybeans.com
Some drink mixes, gels, etc. to get me started
Stuff sack to be used as food bag
Rope - for laundry and for bear-bagging food
Extra ziplock and garbage bags for organization and water-proofing

Clothing:

Bike shorts - 2 (including one that I'm wearing)
Jerseys - 1 sleeveless, 1 short sleeve (including the one that I'm wearing)
Arm warmers
Socks - 5 pairs (What can I say? I'm fussy about my feet.)
Tights
Windbreaker - Lightweight!
Warm jacket - synthetic fill Patagonia
Rain Jacket - Marmot Precip
Rain Pants - Marmot Precip
Biking gloves - 1 short finger pair, 1 long finger pair
Helmet
Beanie - fits under helmet
Buff
Shower cap - 2, one to be used as helmet cover if needed and another for a seat cover if needed
Bike shoes - Bontrager MTB shoes.
Nylon pants with zip off legs
T-shirt - 1, modern miracle fiber
long underwear, wool - 1 top, 1 bottom
Regular underwear - 2 sets
Sports Bra
Off-bike shoes - Woman's Crocs. These have a full heel and a fabric insole, but fit me better than standard Crocs. Chosen for light weight.
REI Flash Pack - to be used as clothing stuff sack, but then also available for off-bike pack if needed (This is nominally 12 oz)

Personal Gear:

Wallet with ID, insurance card, credit card, etc.
Face sized travel towel
Sunscreen
Insect Repellant
Wet wipes
First Aid Kit
Eye glasses
Contact Lens solution and case
Regular sunglasses
Prescription sunglasses
Toothbrush, paste, floss
Hairbrush
Shampoo - hotel sized
Dr. Bronner's Liquid soap - in small container
Extra hairbands
Bandana
small mirror
tweezers
lip gloss (2)
Notebook and pen

Electronics:

Cell phone and charger
MP3 player (Apple Ipod Nano, use cell phone charging block, different cable)
Kindle (Use cell phone charger)
Camera (older 5Mbit Fuji, needs it's proprietary charger, no USB connector)
Extra battery and xD card for camera
xD card reader with USB connector for uploading photos

A mildly annoying observation is that I could use my phone for all of the electronic functions if only I could rely on the battery! The phone is a Motorola Droid (yes, the original Droid) and the battery is not especially new, but it didn't last more than a day when it was new.
