Day 35

Brenham, Tx to Richards, Tx

Miles   48.1                           Elevation 2000 ft.

Warm and humid now that we are in East Texas, mid 80's. I picked up some sleeveless shirts today for biking. It's going to get hotter.

A nice ride through a very green, spring like Texas with its pastures and rolling hills. Roads were good as we travelled state highway 105 & 90. At Anderson we turned onto Farm Market Road 149 which did not have shoulders but was in good shape and we found the drivers to be safe and considerate of we cyclists today. At mile 15 we met up with our SAG driver George for a brief break and it was here that Jeff decided to frolic  in the fields of Blue Bonnets, the state flower. Fortunately he didn't get stung and yes I do have a video of the event!

We are staying in Navasota, Tx tonight. Lodging is infrequent and not wanting to camp we have combined 3 shorter days into 2 and we therefore biked past here and drove back after our ride. Tomorrow,& Wednesday   nights  we will be in Sunday Cottages in Cold Springs  as a thunder storm is forecasted for Wednesday . We will ride depending on weather.

George and Wilson are staying in the middle of the countryside where we finished our ride at a very peaceful community center.
