I'm a fan of the "Bird" electric scooters for a number of reasons: They integrate well with public transport. They take up little space on the road/pavement. When one user is done, he/she will often leave then where another user can start using them. So they need little parking space and low capital layout.
But the city decided to clamp down. Now they are only legal on the street and the user must wear a helmet.
