So today was supposed to be a lazy day at NYS CAMP GROUND ON LAKE Ontario. Unfortunately it was closed for repairs. Wah and wah.

V. It never rained and ended up sunny so as a result, I decided to move on. Lovely spot. Roads were relatively quiet and all pretty good riding, though my butt is sure getting sore (TMI?).

Riding out of the ADK's was fun and a little sad. Wonderful lakes wetlands and firs. But now it's a different eco system and more towns. I love going through towns. However, going through all the tourist areas was not inspiring, though the lakes were. Most of the riding today was with a good mix of vacation homes and primary ones. And some abandoned.

Black flies have abated! That was scary.

So the next of couple of days it's supposed to rain... We'll see. Fortunately, the next section has quite a number of options, including hotels..

And for the record, I have yet to actually see Lake Ontario, not withstanding the fact I rode thru Port Ontario!

Final notes, I saw wood pecker today crossing the road...   no joke. And an indigo bunting. How cool. And finally this critter, who may join for the evening.

Painted turtle thanks to Bill S.
