Donewith the thumb and onto Au Gres

Interesting day today. First half was finishing the thumb and the second half following the lake shore with out seeing much lake!

Bay City, what little I saw, seemed really nice. Which means lots of brick buildings, and older places. 

I thought twice about giving this one a chin chuckle. It might be snappish.

Bill ShaneyfeltSnapping turtles are lothe to get out of the water other than basking occasionally on a log but this time of year, females are roaming looking for a good egg laying spot. And they really do not like being approached.

The fields were the better part of the morning. The bike paths intermittent.

Not sure what these pipes are about. This ditch/ water way contained some pretty big carp. I tried to get a picture of a great and blue heron fishing in it, but just scared them off

Bill ShaneyfeltField drains. Enables the farmer to use otherwise boggy useless areas for farming.
