The GPS claims 11km, but it's all dither from inside the hotel room.

Pretty much the only reason I leave at all is because I don't want breakfast, lunch, and dinner to be oatmeal and I'm feeling kind of hungry.

Huge amount of getting lost on the way to the large grocery store that the hotel boss had suggested to me, it will turn out that the first non-large grocery store I found actually had a better deal on oatmeal than the big place¹.

GPS显示有11公里，但这只是在酒店房间里得到的虚晃信息。

我出门的唯一原因，大概是不想早午晚餐都吃燕麦片，而且我确实有点饿了。

在去酒店老板推荐的食品商店路上迷了好多次路，结果发现在我找到的第一家小店里，燕麦片的性价比居然比那家大的还高¹。

Other than the weather making it really obvious that I need to get south and fast, today's only real excitement is that the national media folks² who I'm absolutely certain said they were going to check in with me today about where I was going to be next week in order to record me for a program about my bike trips in rural China are now saying³ they want to catch up with me the day after tomorrow.

除了天气在提醒我得赶紧往南走之外，今天唯一的令人兴奋的是：那些国家媒体的人²—— 我明明记得他们说过今天会和我确认下周的行程，以便录制一期关于我在中国乡村骑行的节目 —— 现在又说³想后天再跟我碰面。

² Although I mention their corporate affiliation elsewhere in this trip journal, I never mentioned which outlet, channel, or program they are. And, as I move from "being excited that [redacted] has picked me as a subject for a program" to "complaining about every aspect of the TV crew's appalling behavior" I would like to make the connection a little less obvious.
