COVID-19 Christmas

Clanwilliam

Yesterday we moved from Pete and Eve's place to a slightly more upmarket place called Saint du Barry's, to enjoy Christmas.  Last night's supper at a local restaurant took quite a bit out of us so we have enjoyed a quiet day at our guest house.  There is only one other guest staying here - all the other guests cancelled due to the upsurge in COVID cases - so we have had the place pretty much to ourselves.  So after a substantial breakfast we returned to our room and slept until the afternoon.

Once we got up it was time for a swim in the tiny pool followed by a much healthier and lighter late lunch  (mostly salads etc) washed down with some obligatory festive season bubbles.  Some nice straw wine with Christmas cake and mince tarts for desert and an early night because we have big climb over the mountain to Lambert's Bay in the morning.  Touring starts again tomorrow.

Leigh poolside, displaying her wonderful cyclists tan.
