Thanks for the example of the flax seed oil. Sounds good. I already include a fair bit of high quality olive oil in my diet. Michael Mosley is my inspiration for dietary advice.
Interestingly neither of the cyclist friends who needed stents inserted recently had high cholesterol readings. Nor did they have any of the other usual precursors to cardiovascular issues. All the usual measurable indicators were ok… except the build up in coronary arteries which was revealed by dye scans.
Neither do I have any adverse indications thankfully. My cholesterol, lipid ratios, blood pressure, calcium levels, resting pulse rate etc are all very good.
However I’m learning from those cycling friends that I’d really need more invasive tests to check the vessels.
I’m thinking about opting for such tests AFTER my next bike tour. :)
