Yes, by the little ferry terminal. That ferry really only goes to Thetis Island.

Is this the bakery that is close to the ferry terminal? I was in there just the other day and got a really nice apple fritter

Great to see the two of you heading out on the bikes again. I have been curious about those airline legal batteries. You’re always quite thorough with your reviews so I look forward to reading your experience.

I am back to fly with MSFS2020. My last flight was : Vancouver Island into a Cessna 172 fitted with a Garmin 1000 and floats. Taking off at Port Hardy, having fun to water land at Tahsis lac and finally land in Bamfield Seaplane Base. https://youtu.be/44eDu7slx9A. It was a lot of fun. I know that this weekend Oct-24-2021, you went through an hurricane but I set MSFS2020 to clear skies. Do not be surprised if one of these day I circle your house with my TBM 930, A320 neo, spitfire or Blériot XI taking off from Vancouver airport. Hey guys you are living so close from the Vancouver airport ready to fly the real world !

I am a passionate airplane modeler. A year ago I assembled a Bleriot XI from http://www.maxfordusa.com/manual/bleriotxi.pdf
fitted with lipo battery 2200 mAh, 3 elements 11,1V. Weight is 210 g. I stored these charged batteries for a year into a glass jar sealed with a lid. Open that jard yesterday and find out the battery has inflated, ready to explode. I am scared now with lipo batteries and airplane travels ...

Thanks Marilyn and Ed! Stay tuned for the next one, which we are thinking to call Grampies' Spanish Inquisition - in which we will learn all about Spain and Portugal.

That's what I was thinking, but to be fair you do need a toothpick machine to slice up the wood. The machines are surprisingly compact. While you are at it, you can also make ice cream sticks and tongue depressors! But in fact, I found that the town of Strong, Maine is the toothpick capital. The truth then is that the logs are going to the paper mill in Crofton, where they will be mashed up and turned into, for instance, the paper for wrapping your fish and chips.

p.s. Interestingly the Tinker has exactly the same price as Dodie's R-M Swing 3. But that price today is 50% more than we paid in Netherlands just 3-4 years ago.

Wow, that's a cool bike! The Canadian price for a new one is a bit over $7,000. That's 25% more than buying it in Germany. Good work finding one in Poland! Did they ship it with the battery? That would be a true feat of ignoring rules, unless on that score the shipper actually knew how to ship lithium ion legally.
