Thanks Kathleen
9 months agoThanks for the link Patrick - it elicited a few chuckles. I break more than one rule but I'm always happy to be thought of as a badass on the bike.
9 months agoThanks Patrick. It's a place I'll likely revisit, maybe next year when I have more time to explore
9 months agoI used to love going to "Shakespeare in the Park" and it seemed that there were always summer productions almost everywhere I lived. Not so any more.
9 months agoWhat's more weird is that just last night I watched the final episode of season 2 (2023) of the Netflix Tour de France Unchained. It featured Pinot as it was his last tour - it showed his farm with animals and veggies. The route went through the Vosges near his home town and the crowds were enormous in his support - there was even a "Pinot corner." He attacked on the last climb and he was leading as he went past the "Pinot corner" - it was highly emotional, for him, his team director, and for me as well.
9 months agoRule #9, If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period......this is a tongue in cheek quip from the Velominati Rules: https://www.velominati.com/
9 months agoI agree. Great map. We've had the pleasure of cycling along a few of these in our time.
9 months agoNice work, Susan! You got up into the Vosges!
9 months agoAwesome.....you NEVER see this kind of stuff here in Vancouver, sadly.
9 months agoDunno about you, but I’m not ready for it to be over. Thanks for all the cool rides you took us along on.
9 months agoThat's weird....before reading your last paragraph, I was going to mention that you are very near Thibaut Pinot's home. He's a farmer with goats!
9 months agoYou're exploring territory that we wish we had more time to explore this past summer. Looks gorgeous.
9 months agoThank you for all of your wonderful photos and stories, Susan! I do hope your return to NC will not bring any unwanted surprises due to the storms.
9 months agoAww…does this mean the journal is coming to an end? I’m so sad! I’ve really enjoyed following along on your adventures this year. I hope you do it again soon!
