I love these antique marionettes. At one time I was a performer in a puppet theatre - puppets, not marionettes. I did see a marionette show by a grand master however once in Toronto. He was eastern European and so amazing at his art that it discouraged me from continuing. I did do a stint on the Muppet show however during the shooting of feature films.

The Douro is hilly but gorgeous. Coast is spectacular, but maybe Alentejo is best.
