1 year agoWe use other routing programs and they all seem to really love sending cyclists down these goat tracks. We cannot figure out why.
1 year agoDave, your photos are terrific! Gosh, France is so gorgeous. We will definitely be going back in 2025. The Loire route you are doing with your friends is a bit tempting as it looks like a good intro to cycle touring. Enjoy!
1 year agoYou’re right. I wouldn’t want to be trespassing in a place like this in eastern Oregon either.
1 year agoThank you Jill & Dave for a wonderful time in the Loire Valley! Everything exceeded our expectations. You are excellent tour guides, biking experts, food & wine connoisseurs, great conversationalists and all-around fun friends to travel with! What’s our next adventure?

1 year agoLooks like a fine plan to me. We biked through and stayed at both Loches and Chauvigny years ago and enjoyed them both. If you’ve got some flexibility though you might look at passing through Saint Savin on the way to Chauvigny to see its remarkable abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Hello, thank you very much for your kind feedback on our brief encounter and the stimulating conversation in the early morning. We are now back in Cologne and full of positive memories of the tour and the nice people we met. Sometimes we also wished for electric support after 4 hours in the headwind. 😅. We wish you continued great experiences on your bike.
