I am in awe of your achievement in getting over that mountain pass in the snow!
2 years agoFantastic observation and Interesting you'd say that....because that's exactly what we've thought going through the journal again....and then remembering how easy it was for locals and us to wear a mask. (But then, Rachel has spent her RN OR career wearing a mask)

2 years agoThat's a very interesting method of constructing a "guard rail". It looks like it would be pretty effective at keeping foot traffic separated from the road, though.
2 years agoI would guess that Rachel had cantilever brakes on that bike. You need forearms like Popeye to hold them on long descents. I converted my LHT to V brakes, powerful and easy on the hands.
