I don't think they are. These guys were quite small. Smaller then a deer fly and certainly smaller then a horse fly and they didn't bite. If you have other ideas please let me know.
2 months agoYeah, it really was only in the Adirondacks for 2 days. Though the flies will last until July there But elsewhere it's been mosquitos. Though not nearly as bad as the black flies. Overall, it's been ok.

2 months agoField drains. Enables the farmer to use otherwise boggy useless areas for farming.
2 months agoSnapping turtles are lothe to get out of the water other than basking occasionally on a log but this time of year, females are roaming looking for a good egg laying spot. And they really do not like being approached.
