And my lake out back isn’t big enough to be called anything more than a pond!
2 years agoReally? That’s amazing. Now I am jealous. Must have something to do with those 10,000 lakes.
2 years agoAt the risk of inciting jealousy, I have a pair of green herons that next in a tree in my yard. Beautiful bird.
2 years agoWhat a great poem!
2 years agoThanks for noticing. I don’t know what happened there, because I remember recording it. The mileage and elevation totals are missing too. Some sort of fat fingering afoot.
2 years agoNo bird list addendum today?
2 years agoGood point. I’ll add it to my list.
2 years agoA bird of an entirely different feather.
2 years agoI was really surprised when I started zooming in on it.
2 years agoWhat are the chances of getting that photo if you were trying? Great job!
2 years agoNow that’s definitely not a haiku.
2 years agoAt the rest stop Rocky wanted to know
What to do if she didn't have to go,
Scott said "jump up and down,"
Imagine Rocky's frown,
But it worked, so on with the show.
Ravens, coyotes, and Cycleblazers too,
Then Kelly came riding out of the blue,
Herons and rats,
Wetlands, and that's,
Why I read about Rocky and you.
Another clarification: a cloud formation is also a weather thing, I’d think. No? Or maybe this another of those linguistic grey areas like “new growth” that needs caffeine to resolve.
Also btw, here’s a photo you’ll appreciate that you might have missed otherwise: https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/betsyandgail/jerez-to-seville/#43961_bw20uhodfnt5402j4lolr7ssg2q
When I lived in Minnesota there were fronts that moved through rather quickly. There would be a definite "front" to the clouds and then clear blue sky afterwards and with the blue sky came a drop in temperature sometimes by quite a lot. I loved fronts because they were so dramatic. This looks like a type of front, not as dramatic as a Minnesota front but still a front. Clarification: A front is not a cloud formation but a weather thing.

ah, ha! I know where you are now. I did not know that bicycles could go through. That would be a delight! It's on my list now. I thought you rode and out and back to the entrance and was wondering why Rachael was recommending it so highly. Thank you for always including maps.
