2 months agoWhen I was a kid, our uncle was an Army officer stationed in Germany, and they sent us a cuckoo clock for Christmas. Then in the mid-70s, I worked there in Civil Service and we bought them for Christmas gifts! So, not really surprising.
2 months agoYou are correct, Bill! You know your stuff.. reptilian, flora, fauna; the whole shebang 😀

Just Google - cuckoo clock weights
Oh, goody! I got the green light from the Grampies! More photos later! 😁
2 months agoThere is so much more to a blog of a cycle trip than "we woke up, rode the bike, got to the end of the day, slept, repeat". For us, anyway, we love to read about the adventures, experiences, what was seen, and so on, whether on or off the bikes. Keep telling us about your trip in total, and show us the pictures you took. It is always fun to glimpse the world as seen through someone else's eyes.
2 months agoYes! This trip I am so proud of myself; only one latte machiatto ( purchased) and just a few cookies in 4 weeks time!
I feel so much better! I am going to try and keep it up when we return home in two days! Thsnks, Rachael. A real compliment ,coming from you! :)
We all were getting the spam. It was a real pain!

When I was really little, my mom had me out in the garden with her and showed me lots of stuff. By age 3 I was catching night crawlers, getting poison ivy, catching tomato worm caterpillars, eating mulberries off trees I climbed, so really she's the one that got me started.
